Resort & charming stay

The ideal location for relaxing breaks

Natural surroundings steeped in history

The Corbières mountain range is home to outstanding scenery where beautiful, unspoilt Nature reigns supreme.

Cicéron is located near the majestic Romanesque abbey of Lagrasse. The village itself is listed as one of the ‘Most Beautiful Villages of France’. The river Orbieu in Ribaute is famous for its flat rocks and cascading waterfalls, making it the ideal place for a dip.

Château Cicéron is built on the remains of a former Roman villa, hence its name, Cicéron or Cicero in English.

Here, the natural setting is spectacular. The awe-inspiring Alaric Mountain catches the eye, which then gazes down over the meanders of the Orbieu.

The cypress trees which line the drive to the estate rival the beauty of its olive groves. The vineyard rows follow the gentle contour of the valleys, whilst the statues in the grounds exude charm and tranquillity epitomising this haven of peace.

Wine tourism

Every year, the Château welcomes many holidaymakers and tourists who are drawn to a location at one with Nature. The setting exudes a sense of harmony, calm and comfort, creating wonderful holiday memories, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The Grande Maison sleeps up to 14 people. It offers either guesthouse (overnight stays with breakfast) or gite accommodation (rental of the entire house).

This beautiful two-storey original winegrower’s house has two large shared areas on the ground floor with a dining room, lounge with open fireplace and fully-fitted kitchen. A large staircase leads to the upper floors and 4 double rooms and 2 suites with television and wifi connection.

A large terrace and car park are reserved for residents.

The swimming pool and sun room are housed in the former orangery which has been given a contemporary, fun purpose.

Vacation vouchers accepted.

Cellar door and direct-to-consumer sales

The cellar door facilities are designed to be welcoming and are the departure point for a visit to the cellars and discovering the history of the estate.

The estate’s produce – its wines and olive oil – are on sale here.

The facilities also offer tasting lessons and an introduction to winemaking.

A gourmet food menu with local specialities serves tapas-style appetisers.

Wine Tasting

Our guests will get the chance to take part in a tasting of 3 of the Château’s wines, an introduction to winemaking, explanations on the experimental work conducted on the estate, and a visit to the winery (winemaking and ageing cellars) for €5 per person (free with a purchase of wine). Approximate duration: 45 minutes.

Tastings are complimentary for guests staying at the gite for at least two consecutive nights.

Reminder: the cellar door facilities are open every day from Wednesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm in peak season.

Out of season, visits and tastings are available by reservation only.

A relaxing break

The interior décor in the bedrooms and shared areas is stylish and minimalist. The delicate walls of the open-air, former orangery nearby subtly veil the swimming pool. This is also the starting point for a half-day walk through the vineyards to the village of Lagrasse and its abbey.

Château Cicéron is an unspoilt haven set amidst natural, pollution-free surroundings. Here, throughout the duration of your stay, you are invited to live in harmony with the vineyards in a unique location.

Yoga lessons can be booked: July/August, every Sunday at 9am for an hour and a half – €15 per person.

Massages and body care treatments by a recognised practitioner can be booked. Relaxing, one-hour head-to-foot massage: €60
